I figured I would start a new topic for MSL changes.

I noticed that Spacescouts edited many stations on 2009-01-25. Two stations were moved from Tucson to Phoenix so I fixed them.

Also the Fry's at Grant and 1st Ave is due to open any day now, I updated the number of pumps today.

Circle K at 1735 W Speedway Blvd & N Silverbell is now selling gas and diesel again (as of Friday 2013-04-12 - perhaps opened earlier) and I have re-opened the station.

BTW it is not possible to report prices on stations that are closed temporarily using the android mobile app.

MSL entry is at http://www.tucsongasprices.com/AddMasterStation.aspx?sm_id=24869

The Circle K at 4160 N 1st Avenue (Limberlost), which was correctly marked as "Temporarily Closed" for the past two weeks, has now reopened their pumps. (regular price is posted on their sign, fence around pumps is gone, and people observed filling their tanks) I did update the MSL.

Everyone, you should put "Members Only" in the comments field for your posting of all Costco gas prices. Thanks, Warren :-)

The Circle K at 3970 N Flowing Wells Rd and W Roger Rd is closed and boarded up due to an employee caused arson fire on 12/29/12. The property is completely fenced in and the gas pumps are turned off. I changed the status of the gas station to Temporarily Closed.

I added another QuikTrip to the MSL, which will be opening in several months at 8530 E Broadway Blvd. It is closer to E Old Spanish Trail than S Camino Seco; between Taco Bell and Eddie's, but Eddie's may have been demolished for construction.

GasBuddy has made all of the Diamond Shamrock stations appear as VALLERO stations.

Don't you hate it that GasBuddy has signed a deal with Volero and now all Diamond Shamrock stations (which are owned by Valero) show up as VALERO in big green type. VALERO stations now also stay at the top of the price list even when other stations are posted later at the same price.

GB has figured out how to make more money from Big Oil.

The underground storage tank permits (tif file 4) for the new 5502 E Speedway Blvd show three tanks:
20,000 gallons unleaded
12,000 gallons premium
12,000 gallons diesel

I've updated the station features adding diesel.
The original permit is scheduled to expire 180 days from 2012-01-27 so I suspect a Aug/Sep/Oct opening date.

The Circle K at E Speedway Blvd and N Craycroft Rd is being developed as new construction as of June 2012, I think the original site was probably an Exxon station in the 1980's (1990's it was a small used car site). I've added it to the MSL as temporarily closed.

Circle K at 2 N Freeway (I-10 westbound and W Congress St) reopened Fri 2012-06-29, and I updated the MSL yesterday. Station still doesn't sell Diesel, no room for the additional tanks.

Circle K at 2 N Freeway (I-10 westbound and W Congress St) is closed for gas sales from 6-14-2012 til 6-24-2012 (estimated). Since the signs are not managed by the local store employees, the prices remain even though no gas can be sold.

Thank you, aladdin9, for adding the new Circle K to the MSL.

I am watching a new station in construction at 1st Avenue and Glenn - imagine it's going to be a QuikTrip (no clues on the signs yet), but will add it when it opens and I have accurate information.

I found a Circle K at 12th Ave and Drexel that was not on the MSL and added it, and the former Chevron at Tanque Verde near Pima is now re-branded "Car Wash" and is selling gas again.

I changed the status of 7-Eleven at 7084 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson - East, to "Permanently Closed" because the gas pumps, gas island, overhead canopy, and storage tanks have been completely removed and the area has been paved over.
7-Eleven will remain open as a convenience store only.

I changed the status of Pioneer Fuel at 7095 E 22nd St and S Kolb Rd to Temporarily Closed, because the station has been closed for several weeks and all the gas pumps have been removed.

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to list the 2 AAFES stations as being on Davis-Monthan AFB instead of Tucson - SE and Tucson - South? If you look at the Phoenix website, they have Luke AFB as a separate area and 1 AAFES station in that "area." You could have the moderators add Davis-Monthan AFB to the area drop-down list.
Just an idea in the spirit on consistency.

The Chevron gas station at 7890 E Speedway Blvd & N Pantano Rd was closed 2 weeks ago. The property is surrounded by a fence and all the windows, doors and pumps are covered with plywood. All the Chevron signs and logos have been removed. I am not surprised since Frys and Union Gas have always had lower prices. I updated the MSL to show as Temporarily Closed.

I Noticed that unstablegurl1 posted fuel prices yesterday for the Chevron Station even though it has been closed 2 weeks!

TucsonGas1 used to make up gas prices too, then one day he completely disappeared from TucsonGasPrices.com. I guess management caught him red handed. unstablegurl1 beware!

The new Valero station listed as 10355 S Houghton Rd has an incorrect address. This station's address is really:

10335 E DREXEL RD
TUCSON AZ 85747-9405

Please correct this ASAP. You can check this for accuracy at the following location:
"/gis/maps/detail.cfm?parcel=141019170"
The address as you have it would put the station between the I-10/Houghton Rd interchange on the south, and Old Vail Connection Rd on the north.

The following 12 changes were made to the Master Station List based on the current definition of Tucson-CENTRAL:

* Craycroft is the Eastern boundary

* 22nd St is the Southern boundary

Currently, Costco, 6255 E Grant Rd, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NORTH.
The Area was changed to NE, because Costco is North of Grant Rd and East of Craycroft.

Currently, Circle K, 2701 N Oracle Rd, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NORTH.
The Area was changed to NW, because Circle K is West of Oracle and North of Grant.

Currently, 7-Eleven, 4661 E Skyline Dr at N Swan Rd, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NE.
The Area was changed to NORTH, because 7-Eleven is North of Grant Rd and West of Craycroft.

Currently, Valero, 4751 E Sunrise Dr at N Camino Esplendora, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NE.
The Area was changed to NORTH, because Valero is North of Grant Rd and West of Craycroft.

Currently, Chevron, 6345 E Tanque Verde Rd at E Pima St, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NE.
The Area was changed to EAST, because Chevron is East of Craycroft and South of Grant Rd.

Currently, Circle K, 1675 N Wilmot Rd at E Pima St, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-CENTRAL.
The Area was changed to EAST, because Circle K is East of Craycroft and South of Grant Rd.

Currently, Circle K, 6700 E Tanque Verde Rd at N Kolb Rd, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NE.
The Area was changed to EAST, because Circle K is East of Craycroft and South of the Grant Rd/Tanque Verde line.

Currently, Circle K, 8702 E Speedway Blvd at N Camino Seco, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-NE.
The Area was changed to EAST, because Circle K is East of Craycroft and South of the Grant Rd/Tanque Verde line.

The Area was changed to EAST, because Mobil is East of Craycroft and North of 22nd St.

Currently, AAFES, Bldg 6040 E Quijota Blvd at S Albro Blvd, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-SOUTH.
The Area was changed to SE, because AAFES is East of Craycroft and South of 22nd St.

Currently, Quik Mart, 1140 S 4th Ave at E 22nd St, is incorrectly listed as being in Tucson-SOUTH.
The Area was changed to CENTRAL, because Quik Mart is West of Craycroft and North of 22nd St.

Beware, when you make changes to the Master Station List, some of the features like to check themselves off. I had to go back in, find the feature and remove the check mark. It's an annoying problem and occurred in 25% of the changes.

Hope this helps.

aladdin9, I spoke to a TVA employee last week. He said that they will no longer sell gas, because it is not profitable. They will continue to repair cars, rent Penski trucks, and maybe keep the convenience store open. I think we should keep the TVA status as temporary, too. Who knows, maybe another gas supplier might give him a better price and they could start selling gas again.

GitchyGas, when I passed TVA last Sun the gas price section of the signs have been completly removed. Either they are replacing the sign with a digital one, or decided to stop selling gas. Since the station still stands with the tanks installed, I believe we should leave it as temporary closed.

I noticed that Tanque Verde Automotive at 6675 E Grant Rd & E Tanque Verde Rd has stopped selling gas. The gas prices are missing and the pump handles are bagged.

The convenience store still has inventory inside. Next time I pass by in the daytime I will see if the store and repair shop are still open. But for now I have updated the MSL to "temporarily closed". Time will tell if TVA gas stays closed.

The City of South Tucson is located just south of downtown Tucson.
It has its own Mayor, City Council, Police, Fire, and
Public Works departments, Courts, and other small city stuff.

South Tucson is a one square mile community within metropolitan Tucson.

The city boundaries are:
25th Street on the north,
12th Avenue on the west and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks on the east,
and 40th Street and Benson Highway on the south.

I guess GasBuddy thought that South Tucson should have its
own listing, since it is a separate city from Tucson.

For the few times that I have checked for prices in South Tucson,
I have never seen a price listed for the lone Circle K gas station,
located at S 6th Avenue and W 30th Street.

What's the difference between Tucson - South and South Tucson? Are both needed on the area drop-down list? There's only 1 station listed under South Tucson.

Stay cool in the heat!

aladdin9 - in another topic you wrote:

* Craycroft is East
* Oracle is West
* Grant Rd is North
* 22nd St is South

Is this information on TucsonGasPrices.com or an observation?
If true, below are some changes to consider.

Currently, Costco, 6255 E Grant Rd, is in NORTH,
but based on the above definitions, shouldn't Costco be in NE?
Because Costco is North of Grant and East of Craycroft.

Currently, Mobil, 6101 E 22nd St, is in SE,
but based on the above definitions, shouldn't Mobil be in East?
Because Mobil is East of Craycroft and North of 22nd St.

Currently, Circle K, 2701 N Oracle Rd, is in North,
but based on the above definitions, shouldn't Circle K be in NW?
Because Circle K is West of Oracle and North of Grant.

Hope this helps.
