slightly lower fuel prices coupled w/ ppl being fed up having nothing, esp. no nice vacation, is leading to more driving, but also fueling more road rage.

GatorGuy is correct!
Remember that perfect practice makes perfect!
Reminders of others failure only builds negative thinking, stinking thinking from the neck up!
Of course it builds up the electronic sign industry!

Gas prices how? Maybe they should look and see that they had a mild winter so more people were out driving so more deaths.

I doubt if politics, liberal or GOP is causing an increase in fatalities. Let's talk of cell phones and inattention to driving as a cause.

Deregulations by gop is the main cause of corruption in our gov. Look what happens to gasoline when commodities got deregulated back in 2000 by republicans who were bought by lobbyists.... the same crooks that manipulate crude fugutres today.

So they are going after DUI and seatbelt enforcement but what caused the additional deaths? If it was not the failure to wear a seatbelt or a drunk driver their efforts are missing the mark.

"I used to work with someone who was absolutely convinced she was SAFER by NOT wearing a seat belt."
Yep, I've met people who actually believe that they might not be able to get the seat belt unlocked after an accident to 'escape the burning car'.

savannahoaks you got it right. DWT much more likely than DUI particularly in a state where you probably have more dry counties than wet!
