China Ups Ante in Trade War with US

OilPrice.com -- China’s Commerce Ministry has reaffirmed an earlier decision stating that six US renewable energy projects are in violation of World Trade Organization rules, setting the stage for legal action against US solar and wind manufacturers.

This is part of the tit-for-tat renewable energy trade war between the US and China (and, increasingly, Europe), which began last year when the Coalition for American Solar Manufacturing (CASM), led in the US by Germany’s SolarWorld, filed a complaint with the WTO against alleged Chinese dumping of solar panels on the US market.

The Chinese labour rates are between 5 and 10% of those in N America. Therefore, any product with a high labour component will be a lot cheaper made in China. That's why many American companies including Dell and Apple all have their products manufactured in China. It is most unfortunate, but it is reality. One GasBuddy got it right. You will be hard pressed to find anything that is NOT made in China these days. The US is probably the biggest consumer of Chinese goods. If Americans did not buy Chinese, their factories would all shut down. Unfortunately, this is not happening.

They have the advantage of slave labor and totalitarianism. Although BHO & Co. are giving them a run for their money in those areas, we still cannot compete when it comes to losing on technology that is too expensive and with low demand. Green is red. So is China. So is BHO & Co. lead by greenies.
