Serious threat to re-election in November. Doubling of gas prices, Obama's attempt to ram the unconstitutional Obamacare down our throat(big issue is the 3.8% tax when you sell your house after 12/31/2012), class warfare, approaching 16 trillion in debt and won't stop spending. Did I say bow to the Saudi King, refusal to wear the flag on his lapel and refusal to prosecute the black panthers for standing outside of the PA voting place with clubs?

The new SOBBs GOP would never allowed America to go to the moon almost 50 years ago.
But that technological push caused a revolution that improved America's economy....

If high gas prices can damage the economy, then why do the GOP want to keep the prices as high as possible...

I agree with this article. High gas prices would cause serious damage to economy.

It's interesting to note that even though six percent (6%) of respondents pointed out global supply and demand as a factor, while some two percent (2%) blamed consumers, inefficient driving, etc., there was no mention in the article of the increased world market demand.

The link "click here to see the full results of the poll" within the article still doesn't work.

The article never mentioned Wall Street that I remember. Is that because it doesn't fit into what Fox wants us to think?

High gas prices sure don't help us move toward economic recovery. Surprised that more people didn't cite Wall Street.

Interesting. No mentioning of the increase in demand from the rest of the world outside of the U.S. & Europe.

Yet somehow, countries like Britain have managed to get by with gas prices in the $8-$10/bbl equivalent for years. Go figure.

Gas prices ain't the half of it, and any moron who thinks that gas prices are determinant of the nation's economy should vote GOP.

Alas big oil will not let that happen. But as the economy increase so will the price and use of fuels, even if we drill more in the US.

That's a no brainer. Get rid of speculation and other stock market influence on oil & gas prices and see the economy take off as fuel costs are way lower.

Seems like the common man (voter) are the smart ones and in touch with reality. The leaders are just realizing this now; maybe they should not be in the role of leading the country; thats any party!

Gas prices are a threat. And a red herring.
The real threat resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC.
Remove that problem and many others will go with it.
FDR - thankfully not that rascal. Much more like Jimmy Carter II. Only worse.
Whodathunkit. Had enough?
